If it didn’t win an award, it wouldn’t have caught my attention at all.
In summary, The Accidental Tourist is one of those good books. The book offers different perspectives as it focuses on the concepts of both happy and unhappy families. But that complex structure of the human being is perhaps the only element that keeps us from most things. Sometimes what we do without thinking shows us how effective the decisions we make by immersing ourselves in the flow of life. The significant changes in life and the people’s reactions to these changes are exquisitely written. Maybe what matters is who you are when you’re with them. I’m beginning to think that maybe it’s not just how much you love someone. I guess one can fully understand a book after some time. Even though I was bored in most parts, when the book finished, I thought for a few minutes that it wasn’t bad at all. Maybe that’s why I didn’t like it so much when I was reading it. Moreover, it can be quite sad in some parts. Unfortunately, you cannot enjoy much because you cannot empathise with ease.
The subject of the book, however, may not be of interest to you unless you are divorced and have children.
