Librarians concerned about mature content in Pokemon Adventures – at least this first volume – have nothing to worry about.I think y’all can probably relate to this: I was minding my own business in Costco the other day when I came across box sets for the ENTIRE first 30 books in the Pokémon Adventures series… and I just had to have them. Without any background into the Pokemon series, I felt pretty lost. My decision to read future Pokemon books will be based on this fact alone. He kept asking me if I was enjoying it and wanting to talk about it with me.

Pokemon came out in the 1990s, so I don’t have a nostalgic background for this series. I am 40 years old, a child of the 1980s.Some facts to know before I review this book: “Red,” wants to find Pokemon and befriend them.
